R&B bombshell ZZ Ward set to play Seattle’s Crocodile on Fire and Shine tour 2/17 + interview

The first time I heard ZZ Ward’s voice, I knew that I had stumbled upon something magical – something incredibly special. It’s not just her voice either…it’s her all-around musical depth and rhythm – it’s her radiating self-confidence and raw talent. Her debut record, ‘Til the Casket Drops, is a collection of bluesy, gritty songs with the dirtiest beats you can find (in a really good way) and if you haven’t checked it out, I suggest you drop everything and do it right now.

Great Lake Swimmers go the distance with ‘New Wild Everywhere’

I’m going to just come out and say it: this album is so gorgeous. From the plush ballad, “I Think That You Might Be Wrong” to the sweet but piercing track, “The Knife,” this record delivers perfection in its subtlety.

East Nashville troubadour Todd Snider plays Seattle’s Triple Door tonight

Todd is best known for his off-the-wall sense of humor and unique ability to tell stories with his songwriting. His latest record takes an entirely different approach however, with it’s grim, dark, gritty emotional innards.
