Delta Rae’s debut record, Carry The Fire, is set to drop on June 19th. The seven piece band is already starting to turn heads with the powerful harmonies and booming rhythm of the album’s first single, “Bottom of The River.”

Los Angeles band Everest is set to kick off their tour with Neil Young in November at Seattle’s Key Arena. Young hand-picked the band to open for him in 2008 after the band released their debut record under his label, Vapor Records.

The band is preparing to release their third studio album, Ownerless, which is set to drop on June 26th on ATO Records.

Canadian quartet Wintersleep is headed to Seattle’s beautiful Columbia City Theater on June 1st and Tim was kind enough to tell me a bit about the band’s upcoming record, Hello Hum.

‘Odd Soul’ is the band’s third full-length studio release and it marks the band’s first go at self-production. “This is the least scared I’ve ever been because I feel that, by not having a producer, we allowed ourselves to trust our gut more,” Darren explains. “All of that but you still get worried…”

Made in the Foo Fighters’ Studio 606 with John Lousteau producing, A Gentle Reminder features founding members Shehan and guitarist Benito working alongside Mendel (filling in on bass for the departed John McGinnis) and new drummer Bob Penn. Josh Staples (the Velvet Teen) contributes backing vocals and bass on two tracks.

Stephen Kellogg will be the first guy to tell you that life in the music industry isn’t easy, but it’s worth every minute. ‘Gift Horse’, the fourth full-length release from Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers, is a record about recognizing obstacles as blessings rather than curses.

A few weeks ago I ran into this incredible video of a band singing on Watch Listen Tell and I had to find out more. Turns out the song was called “Young Glass” by a Newfoundland band called Hey Rosetta!. Their ability to compose beautifully layered and vocally enchanting songs makes me sure that you will love them! The Jezabels played a 9-song set last Friday at Seattle’s Crocodile Cafe opening for Hey Rosetta!. The band is touring in support of their November 8th release, Prisoner.
