Well, I never quite know where to start on things like this. So I guess I’ll just jump right in eh?

Here’s what I’ll say, this has been such an incredible, fun journey – and I hope that it continues to be that for a long time. It all started in 2007 with a school project, Jason Mraz’s Sold Out, In Stereo disc and a free blogger account… in almost exactly that order. Needless to say, it has grown into something that is incredibly important to me and I hope that you can enjoy getting an intimate look at some of the conversations I’ve had with the people who inspire me to stay passionate and to keep moving forward.

All of the artists that are included on this site are high-class, honest, passionate people. Many of them are involved in their respective communities and charities around the globe. Everything that is released on this site is just as it was spoken. No gossip, no garbage.

More than anything, I believe in keeping passion alive and supporting positivity. Plus, it’s all just so freaking cool, right?! Thanks for stopping by.

    Hi Kristina,

    I hope you’ve had a nice week!

My name is Sami and I wanted to touch base as I’m working with Denver band Ryan Chrys & The Rough Cuts (roughcutsband.com). They will be performing at Central Saloon on April 17 and would like to see if there may be an opportunity to work with you for coverage in support of their tour? I know Ryan would be thrilled to work with you for an interview!

The band has developed an entirely new music genre as a spin-off from Outlaw Country – and looking forward to bringing that to a new part of the country. I’m Including full details below and you can listen and check out videos on the bands website listed above.

Of course if any of your staff would like to attend their show, I’d love to offer two spots on the show guest list for you. Just let me know.

Thanks for taking a look, and hope to talk to you soon!

DENVER BAND PIONEERING NEW MUSIC GENRE
Westword Music’s “Best Country Band” Ryan Chrys & The Rough Cuts announces spring tour and new single “Modern Outlaw Country”

DENVER, CO — From their scruffy, bearded appearance, you might assume Ryan Chrys & The Rough Cuts are actual outlaws. In another time, maybe – but in today’s world, they’re blazing a trail for fans of country legends like Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash and pioneering their own music genre – Modern Outlaw Country.

A term coined in dedication to the music and spirit of old school Outlaw Country artists, Ryan Chrys & The Rough Cuts is infusing heavy steel guitar and dirty garage rock into a classic country sound to instill new energy to music fans who love the heroes of the old. Much like Nashville-rejected artists like Merle Haggard and David Allan Coe, the Denver band has rebelled against fitting neatly into today’s country music standard.

“Our music is a modern take on a style we deeply respect and admire,” says Chrys. “We know the music and spirit of Outlaw Country legends runs deep, and they don’t like it when newer bands like us attempt to identify on their own legacy – so we’re making that distinction. We’re not new or old country, Americana, Honky Tonk or Southern Rock. We are Modern Outlaw Country.”

To name a few appearances in the midwest – to include the 75th Sturgis Harley Davidson Rally and support slots for national acts Blackberry Smoke, The Marshall Tucker Band, Junior Brown, Cody Canada and the Departed, Cash’d Out and more – concert goers are inclined to agree that this is a new era of music.

The band hits the road on April 7th for a month-long tour through Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada and Utah in support of their own country music trademark, and will also be debuting a new single with the same name.
