Just one spin of Harper Blynn’s debut record, Busy Hands, and I was hooked. These guys are the ultimate rock band and most importantly: they are funny, down-to-earth guys who genuinely enjoy each others’ presence and who clearly love making music.
It’s a passion you can see every night when they go on stage. They’re rousing cover of Beyonce’s “Halo” and the big drums and powerful chorus of their popular track “I Think I’m Falling in Love” get everyone out of their seats and onto their feet.
The Brooklyn based band Harper Blynn, named after vocalists Pete Harper and J Blynn, spent the early weeks of spring touring with Ingrid Michaelson. I was lucky enough to sit down with the guys just before their set at Seattle’s Moore Theater. You can hear our fun conversation below:
